All Settled In

Andy is already gone on a business trip, and bless his heart he worked like crazy to help get the last of the boxes unpacked and put away so it would all be done before he left. My mom and dad watched the kids for a few days while I was here in AL supervising the movers and getting the essentials unpacked. Then while Andy was gone. . . I had some fun and. . . Decorated! Before we left IA I found a few crafting blogs and saw some really cute things that I wanted to do in the kids rooms, but had to wait until we got to our house in AL. So. . . here are some pictures of all the fun I have been having.

These are in Addy's room. Can you believe it is just material cut to the shape I wanted and pasted to the wall with a mixture of corn starch an water! They just peel right off when you are tired of them without damaging the walls. (I was already curious enough to test this out. If anyone wants directions let me know.)
The whole time I was putting up the words in Conner's room he was either telling me which letter came next or pointing out more things that he thought should be labeled. I asked him what animal he wanted and he said a green bird.
These book shelves are made out of rain gutters from Lowe's. The kids LOVE them. And as you can see from the next picture Addy's are usually empty, as she wants me to read her stories all day long. Not just one story at a time either, ALL of them. The only time her books are in her shelves is when she is sleeping. I love that these make their books so accessible and easy to see.

The kids' bathroom.
And where would we be without a frog to watch us all day?
Andy got quite handy and built the kids two of these shelves to hold all their toys. I love them! They make cleaning up toys so much faster since everything has a place.
A rare moment of my kids happily playing together.
