House Hunting

Our search for a home started out HORRIBLE, but ended well. We had two days to go thru 18 homes that had been picked out previous to our arrival. Tuesday morning, our realtor took us to each house, and one by one, we crossed them off our list... they were terrible! The homes were either incredibly small, in a bad area of town, too far from town, or just plain crappy! And by the end of the first day we had gone thru every single home we had picked out. So that night, we pulled out our notebooks and started looking at more expensive homes. The second day, our realtor took us to our new selections, and once again, we started crossing off every single one of them. We couldn't find a thing!

Finally, we came across 3 homes that all caught our attention. One was out in the country, and two were in town, (on the same street as 2 other LDS families). We liked the home in the country the most because it had over 2,400 sq. feet and was built in 2006. It even had a shop in the back. But the other 2 homes were on the same street as a lot of kids Conner and Addy's age, and so we thought that even though the houses were both a lot smaller, our kids would be happier there. (Someday our kids will appreciate our sacrifices). So we put an offer in on the larger of the 2 homes, only to have two more offers come in that same day... needless to say, we didn't get it. So we put an offer on the smaller of the two... it's still nice, just not as large as what we wanted.
Here's a picture of our new home, (granted everything goes smooth with the close). We don't close until June 2nd, (because the close on our house in Iowa is June 1st).

So that's where we're at now... in the middle of our move, and just waiting.
