We just got back from spring break a couple weeks ago, and yet, we're off again. I have decided to brag about my job since it's as close to laziness as I can get and still get paid. I work 8 months out of the year (if that), with 2 weeks off over Thanksgiving, 3 weeks off over Christmas, 2 weeks off over spring break, and 1 week off over Easter break. School gets out mid-May and doesn't start back up until the end of August. And the best part of all is that I never have to use my sick time, because I'm salary, so it doesn't really matter if I take a day off. I never have to use my vacation time because every time I turn around, we're on another break. And I never have to cram all of our family vacations into one Saturday when everyone else (and their dog) are out doing the same thing we're doing, because we can do it on any of our breaks! We usually have a lot of plans for these wonderful breaks, and this time is no exception. Conner and I are going to learn how to be better couch potato's for as long as Molly will let us! And then, I'm going to replace 4 door knobs. (because we live in a 100-year old house, and it's falling apart). Then I'm going to work on our website, www.orangecitystuff.com, - which is already getting over 200 hits per day! Conner and I are going to go on a one-hour bike ride, (his favorite thing to do in Orange City). Then I'm going to the hardware store to buy all of the wood I need to make a train table for my least favorite son. (seeing that I only have one son, I guess that makes him my favorite too, right?) And then I'm going to give some quality time to Molly and Addy. (15 or 20 minutes should probably cover it). Then Conner and I are going to try and find a good go-kart kit so when summer comes, we'll have another fun project to do! ...Now, to clarify, I do hate my job in September. School has just started back up, most of my employees are making not-so-intelligent decisions, and my supervisors are trying to get back into the 'groove'. But the rest of the year more than makes up for the horrible, horrible,...
HORRIBLE month of September.
